Production Facility Medinorm

The production facility Medinorm Medizintechnik was co-founded by Jack van Straten in 1984 as an associated company for the production of wound drainage systems. Nowadays, Medinorm also produces many product lines for other customers.

In 1990 Medinorm becomes world leader in constant vacuum with the green coloured wound drainage systems. Over a million systems are distributed each year through the logistical warehousing of Van Straten Medical in Nieuwegein (used in more than 35 countries).

Nowadays Medinorm is, next to Van Straten, co-owned by Dahlhausen Company which is a permanent fixture in the health care market in Germany. Dahlhausen is able to look back on almost 150 years of history.

Despite the size, Dahlhausen, just like Van Straten Medical are still family based companies, which haven't forgotten their traditions and values.

All plastic based products, engineered and developed by Van Straten Medical are produced by Medinorm. Other partnerships such as with Implantcast in Germany are used for the production of metal based prostheses.

Medinorm employs more than 80 employees and is based in the vicinity of Saarbrucken, Germany. 1.200 m2 production- and clean room facilities are available.
