The CCI Evolution, developed by Van Straten Medical and Dr. H.C. Doets PhD, is a novel symmetrical mobile-bearing design characterized by minimal osseous resection of the tibia and the talus.
The first CCI Evolution ankle prosthesis has been implanted in 2003.
Total ankle arthroplasty with the CCI Evolution show good results on short- to medium term (7 years).
In February of 2010, a new generation of instruments have been introduced. These new and modified instruments should lead to a faster and more controlled preparation of both the tibia and talus.
